About the event
Workshop Summary:
In this workshop on Found Poetry, we will explore the art of using text to create something new and beautiful.
We will take a piece of text that is important to us like a letter, a favorite quote, article or book passage and highlight the words and phrases that speak out to us. We will use these words and phrases to create a poem or a few poems. We will then have the opportunity to use art supplies (markers, watercolors, etc) to create visual representation of the poem.
This is a course for everyone from those who consider themselves seasoned poets and those who are just now exploring their interests in poetry.
